The U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas presents A Conversation with Federal Judges. The purpose of this event is to give local attorneys an opportunity to get acquainted with our federal judges and to provide a forum to discuss issues of importance to the bar. CLE credit will be available to attorneys in Kansas and Missouri.
DATE AND LOCATION: This event is offered on October 17 and 24, 2007, and again on November 7 and 28, 2007. Only attend one of the sessions. These events will be held in Room #PL 207A of the Topeka Federal Courthouse at 444 SE Quincy Street. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., lunch will be provided at no cost beginning at 12:00 p.m. You will be asked to submit any questions you have for the judges during registration.
REGISTRATION: Attendance is limited to attorneys currently admitted and practicing before the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas. Visit the CLE Training Class List at the U.S. District Court website to register for the event. Seating is limited, so register as soon as possible. If seats are no longer available when you get to the registration site, check back occasionally as there may be cancellations. If you register but later find you will be unable to attend, please contact Jennifer Grimes at (913) 551-1426 so another member of the bar can fill your slot.
PARKING: Parking is available at Townsite Plaza Garage. This garage is located southwest of the courthouse, adjacent to the Bank of America building. To access the parking garage, turn east off of Kansas Avenue at either 4th Street or 5th Street.
SECURITY: Cell phones and other electronic devices are allowed in the building only if you have a current bar registration card and a photo ID. In order to avoid delays at the security checkpoint, we recommend that you do not bring electronic devices with you unless it is absolutely necessary.
